At TempFileLink, we believe your data is yours alone. We've built our platform on zero-knowledge principles to ensure your files remain private, even from us.
1. Zero-Knowledge Architecture
When you enable end-to-end encryption, your files are encrypted in your browser before they ever touch our servers. We never store your encryption keys. This means we cannot read, scan, or access the contents of your encrypted files under any circumstances.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the bare minimum required to provide our service:
- Account Data:Name and email address provided via Google or GitHub authentication.
- Usage Metadata:File names, sizes, and expiration timestamps to manage your dashboard and storage.
- Payment Info:Handled exclusively by Stripe and Polar. We do not store credit card details.
3. Data Retention & Deletion
Files are stored temporarily on Cloudflare R2. Once a file's expiration time is reached, it is automatically and permanently purged from our storage. You may also manually delete files at any time.
Deleting your account will remove all associated metadata from our database immediately.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies to manage your login session. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell your data to any third party. Ever.
5. Third-Party Services
We utilize trusted infrastructure partners to provide our service:
- Cloudflare: For secure file storage and global CDN delivery.
- Stripe/Polar: For secure payment processing.
- Resend: For transactional emails (login alerts, receipts).
